Introduction

The HKYAA Simulator Programme provides an intensive, immersive experience designed to introduce aspiring pilots to the rigors of flight training. We are seeking self-motivated individuals who are eager to embrace challenges and proactively prepare for a career in aviation. Participants will benefit from a mentor-mentee environment, learning directly from a team of highly experienced instructors.

  • Rigorous Evaluation: Progress through the programme via formal check flights, receiving detailed performance feedback to ensure all proficiency objectives are met at each phase.

Programme Structure & Fees

Phase 1: Foundations (Compulsory)

  • Simulator Training: ~12 hours of visual flying and circuits (1-on-1, flexible scheduling).

    • Curriculum: Basic maneuvers, normal and advanced circuits, standard departure/arrival procedures, and check module.

  • Flying Knowledge and Procedures: ~5 hours of briefing on flight knowledge and practical integration of onboard instruments and navaids relevant to the simulator training.

  • Soft Skills Training: ~8 hours of training and exercise in team synergy and individual professional effectiveness.

  • Ground School: ~27 hours of intensive workshops covering technical theory, knowledge discussion, and operational knowledge at an accelerated pace (Group sessions, held on Saturdays during the first 3–4 months).

  • Fee: HKD $9,500
     

Phase 2: Multi-Engine & Instruments (Optional)

  • Prerequisite: Successful completion of Phase 1.

  • Simulator Training: ~16 hours of multi-engine instrument flying and approaches (1-on-1, flexible scheduling).

    • Curriculum: Instrument flying techniques, use of navigation aids (navaids), holding patterns, instrument approaches (ILS, RNAV, VOR), and check module.

  • Fee: HKD $6,500
     

Phase 3: Multi-Crew Cooperation (Optional)

  • Prerequisite: Successful completion of Phase 2.

  • Simulator Training: ~40 hours of Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) training (Conducted in pairs, flexible scheduling).

    • Curriculum: Operational concepts, workload management, communication and teamwork, and check module.

  • Fee: HKD $8,500

     

*Upon the successful conclusion of each phase, students will receive a certificate of completion

  • Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a face-to-face interview via email or phone within three weeks of the application deadline.
     

  • Notification of Results: Successful applicants will be contacted to finalize their training commencement schedule.
